Attributes of the Weapon: Please View Our Cutting Test：
Blade: The blade of the sword has been hand forged using the ancient method of sword making. Two pieces outer jacket steel wrapped around a relatively softer, inner core steel, which is resilient and able to absorb shocks, in a way, reduces the possibility of the blade breaking or bending. This creates a blade with hard, sharp cutting edge. The visible tenuous undulating grain on the blade was resulted from folded repeatedly during forging. The blade shaped Shinogi-zukuri without blood groove, featured Chu points and Ihori blade backs, which has irregular wavy Boshi, and Gunome hamon resulted from quenching and tempering. Futsu shape of full tang has Haagari tang tips.
The blade features a Bo-Hi (blood groove) for better balance and audible feedback when the sword is swung. The is Kissake is medium in length with a well defined Yokote. The blade is full tang and comes razor sharp.
Guard(Tsuba): The Tsuba has been constructed from copper in a complex pattern of warrior were carved on the tsuba. this is a real better one for you to collect.
Saya: The saya is hard wood, lacquered black with a high gloss finish. The Koiguchi (scabbard throat) is black bull horn. A black silk sage-o is tied around the wooden Kurigata.
Tsuka: The handle (Tsuka) of the sword is wooden covered in a real red shark skin wrap. The shark skin is then wrapped in a silk wrap. And two subminiature Menuki are rested on each side of the Tsuka. The tang of the sword is secured by two pegs (mekugi). The handle ends with a copper end cap (fuchi-kashira).
In addition, this katana can be taken apart fully anytime to maintenance. You can unassembled the blade from the handle by taking out two pins. It also comes with a cotton bag. We don' have responsibility for death or injury accident caused by the negligent or misuse for this sword.
NOTE:
1）The sword in the above cutting test video isn't just this actual auction, it only shows this auction has the characteristic of sharp, strong and flexible as the same as that one for cutting test.
2) The weight of blade is 1.150g (not including scabbard).for shipping we need to add the scabbard and pack weight. so the total weight will be about 2KG.
